CYNTHIA HALPIN (Artistic Director, Instructor)
Cindy has worked as a performer, teacher and choreographer, in both professional and educational theatre, for over 20 years. A member of Actor’s Equity Association, she has performed in New York City and regional theatre across the country. While on faculty at Millikin University in Illinois, Cindy taught ballet, choreographed for the Dance Ensemble and School of Music Opera productions, and served as assistant director/choreographer for various Mainstage productions. In her native Long Island, she was director of Ballet at private dance schools, as well as Ballet Mistress and choreographer for teen/adult dance companies. She has taught Master classes for national and regional dance organizations in New York and Illinois. Locally, she has choreographed for Cortland Repetory Theatre in Cortland. Cindy is currently dance faculty at SUNY Cortland, Department of Performing Arts, as well as associate director/choreographer for many Mainstage productions.
KEVIN T. HALPIN ( Artistic Director, Instructor)
Kevin, a member of the major professional actor’s unions (AEA and SAG) has worked as a professional director, choreographer and performer on productions in NYC, Europe, the Caribbean and across the United States. In August of 1999, Kevin and his family relocated to Cortland, New York to help establish and Direct the Musical Theatre Degree program at SUNY Cortland. SUNY Cortland’s recent productions of Little Shop of Horrors, The Music Man, Cabaret , Into the Woods, Gypsy, Godspell , She Loves Me, Carousel, Chicago, The Mystery of Edwin Drood , Merrily We Roll Along and Anything Goes were all directed and choreographed by.Kevin. He has also written and directed the SUNY Theatre for Young Audiences musical touring productions. Kevin is a veteran of young performer training programs, having taught dance and theatre courses to students ranging from 11-50 for over 15 years.
